Frog Stuff

There used to be a cartoon with a frog being eaten by a bird. The frog was choking the bird and the caption read, "Never ever give up!" I often wondered about the frog. How did it turn out? Did the frog survive? Not only that, but could it possibly ever happen? Draw your own conclusions!

The photo below was taken on the edge of a pond on the east side of Tucson. Evidently, the Bullfrogs wait underneath the green scum floating on the pond and ambush birds. What is amazing is the size of the bird relative to the size of the frog. Also note that it has its little arms gripping the bird and forcing it down - somewhat similar to the cartoon. I guess it takes a couple of hours for the frog to get the bird down.
